EAC Certification

EAC (Eurasian Economic Union) Certification regulates the procedures governing the relationship between manufacturers and consumers in the Russian Federation. Products that comply with these procedures are granted easier customs clearance. Companies exporting products to the Russian market are required to ensure their production complies with the established procedures.

In 1992, the Russian government introduced a law aimed at protecting consumer rights. It mandated that certain products must meet specific standards before being allowed into the domestic market. Over time, procedures regarding "public health and epidemiological safety" and "quality and quality standards" were regularly updated. On 27 December 2002, the Federal Law on "Technical Regulation" was adopted, prohibiting the sale of products without certification.
